I have always had a love for Hibiscus flowers, they are such an eye catching flower and it just reminds me of a beautiful tropical island. Immediately I feel peaceful.
 
That inspired this oil painting. An orange hibiscus unfurls at the heart of the painting, its petals rendered in lush layers of oil paint that glow with warmth and vitality. Rich shades of burnt orange, coral, and soft amber blend seamlessly, creating a sense of depth and movement as if the flower is gently breathing in the sunlight.
 
My use of thick, expressive brushstrokes give the petals a velvety texture, while subtle highlights of gold and hints of crimson trace their delicate curves.
 
Overall, the painting captures not just the form of the orange hibiscus, but its spirit bold, luminous, and alive with tropical warmth.
